In 2003, Matina graduated summa cum laude from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish Minor. Matina attended the University of San Francisco School of law where she received her JD in 2007. Matina is admitted to practice before all California Courts and the United States District Court for Northern District of California.

After law school, Ms. McDaniel practiced public interest law, including as an attorney volunteer at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office, as legal counsel for state of California at the Agricultural Labor Relations Board, and as contract attorney at the San Mateo County Superior Court. Prior to joining Tour-Sarkissian Law Offices in 2016, Ms. McDaniel was an associate attorney at the Heritage Law Group where she practiced probate law and real estate litigation.

Matina's practice areas include immigration, trusts and estates, and real estate. Matina speaks Spanish fluently.
